The role acting can play in business + life

David de Vries is an actor and narrator, director and teacher, and occasional photographer and songwriter. He has appeared on Atlanta stages for more than thirty years in roles like Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Alliance Theatre, Sigmund Freud at Theatrical Outfit in Freud’s Last Session and many, many others.

intrepidNOWDavid talks about the choices that took him into the theater and of the extraordinary lessons available from that environment for the business world. Major takeaways include:

Putting ourselves in touch with our own sense of vulnerability;

The sense of community and authenticity that emerges within the theater;

How acting can be a fast track to intimacy.
