And this year we have rented a Villa in Tuscany for a month.

My wife has been talking about this trip to celebrate her 50th birthday since I first met her over 20 years ago and she has spent MANY hours coordinating for the 60+ people that will be joining us for a week! We will have a new group of guests arrive each week to enjoy the Villa and Tuscany.
The first week (June 20-26) is all girls, my wife and her college friends, most of whom are celebrating their 50th Birthday this year as part of the trip. They are in Tuscany now having a blast!

The second week (June 27 – July 3) my wife’s family are visiting and my son and I will arrive to join the fun, The third week (July 4-10) we have friends visiting and the fourth week (July 11-17) we have my sister and more friends visiting.
My wife has carefully planned each weeks activities to include day trips to Siena, Florence, and Rome each week. She has also left us plenty of time each week to venture out and discover Italy in my favorite way, unstructured… no specific plans.
I will surely journal about the great food both served for us at the Villa and in nearby restaurants. To whet your appetite, I will remind you of some of the fabulous food that we had our last two trips.

Of course, I will also be sharing all that I learn about Italian wine. We are scheduled to visit several wineries including:
- Piaggia in Carmignano
- Poggio Antico in Montalcino
- Ricosoli in Chianti
- Fanti in Montalcino
- Tenimenti D’Allessandro in Cortona
Good thing we just finished our wine room so we have plenty of space to store the wines that we love so much that we must buy!
We certainly enjoyed learning about French Wine from my wife’s friends who live in Paris and were so gracious to host our trip!
We had to ship a case home!
