Joined in studio today by Bobby Valentine, CEO of fitRaise: Support great causes while exercising; earn donations while you run, walk, or ride!
[Update from Bobby:] The PHIT America event is just about over. Doug Gordon completed his journey across America without incident and has raised several thousand dollars through fitRaise. Since we recorded the interview we have partnered with the National Association of Health and Fitness to be the fitness tracking and fundraising provider for the 2016 Global Employee Health and Fitness Month. We’re excited about this next step and look forward to many businesses joining the fitRaise platform over the next two months.

About Bobby Valentine:
Bobby Valentine has been an entrepreneur for most of his life. Growing up in a family with a retail store at age 9 Bobby saw a market need and borrowed his dad’s pickup truck and $50 and began selling fresh collard greens along the roadside. Fast forward 8 years and during his senior year in high school he had his own business building birdhouses from recycled materials (he practiced sustainability before it was a well-known concept.)
After a brief stint in the corporate world with Equifax, Valentine went back to his retail roots for a few years before venturing out into the tech start-up scene with fitRaise. He has an MBA from Georgia State University and what feels like a PhD in life experience. He resides in the North Georgia Mountains with his wife Emily, (a 3rd grade teacher) and two sons (Trey 5 and Mitch 2).
